Macropus Parma

The parma wallaby is the smallest member of the marsupial family.

It’s habitat in Australia is the wet ‘sclerophyll’ hard leaf forests of Northern New South Wales, Australia.

A hard lead forest is where the leaves are very thick skinned like Acacia

or Eucalyptus.

They are nocturnal - which means you need to be here early morning or late evening to see them.



They keep their young joeys in a pouch till they are 5-6 months old. They aren’t offcially ‘born’ until they leave the pouch.
